You guys know what I enjoy? Theology. Like, all the theology in the effing world, especially polytheism. That's my favorite kind. It's no secret I have an affinity for the gods of Olympus, but in revamping Malach's history (which I'm still in the process of transfering from this account), I'm looking at every fuckin' religion I can: Norse mythology, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Haitian Vodou, Ancient Egypt, Mayan and Incan stuff--ALL the things. And it's fantastic. I'm learning so much!
See, what I'm trying to do is figure out a way in which all these varying theories and such can mesh or overlap. You might be surprised to know that there is a TON of overlap between religions you wouldn't expect. For instance, Norse mythology and Christianity and Hinduism all have a "great flood." Pretty much every religion has a pair of "divine twins," obviously everyone has an Earth god/ess. Hinduism's Kamadeva and Olympus's Eros have an awful lot in common (although Kamadeva's bowstring is made out of bees???). I'm planning on including some Cthulhu mythos, too--Poseidon awkwardly skirting around Cthulhu's sleeping area, and I have my own version of Nyarlathotep with whom I'm totally in love.
I'm having a lot of fun, and unless I get to talk about it out loud, I won't be able to adequately express how excited I am about all of it. This comic thing is going places, guys. God(s) willing, I mean. It's getting a lot more in-depth and daring than my prose usually goes. And it makes me feel SO cool. Also, Malach is sort of a god now, so that's really cool, too. As if she was able to become more badass--yet somehow, she managed.
I dunno. I'm just sitting here bouncing in my seat and waiting for Jessica to come home from work so I can talk her ear off.
Also, on a related note, I currently have 30 tabs open in Chrome on my phone.

Hmmmmmmm.
Valen has 10,000 employees…and I’ve only given names and faces to some of them.
I wouldn’t doubt that somewhere in the world, maybe in London, there’s a pretty redheaded trans lady reaper, one with a weakness for handsome men and a mouth full of sharp teeth, one with gold or green eyes behind a treasured pair of glasses. A lady who tends to stray from the rules, but never far enough to get in trouble. A lady who desperately loves her Scythe and has a bit of a masochistic streak. A lady who, even these days, dresses Neo-Victorian and speaks in a register so high it doesn’t belong among just any old humans. Maybe
Update!
I have red hair now. =] Okay, it's more...maroon-ish; it is, in fact, a similar color to my Grim Reaper's. Speaking of, I have a...tentative new name for her. >.> We'll see whether it's my final answer in days to come. I'm still working on my thesis stuff, writing writing writing, strictly school-related things: thesis novel and poetry. I'm a little behind on my German, but other than that, class is going well. I really like my thesis advisor. He reads my pages and knows my characters my name and genuinely likes them and *sigh* it makes me happy. ^^

Fiction Thesis
And that's all I'm writing right now. And definitely not fanfiction. Seriously. I have nothing written down. >_> It's a problem.
You guys know much about the whole Cthulhu mythos? I think it's interested. Sooo complicated, though. My main point of interest is Nyarlathotep~. He's going in my thesis, see? The cast of main characters goes something like this:
-Death
-Cupid
-Nyarlathotep
-Life-in-Death
-a legally-recognized witch
-a reluctant "Seer" of supernatural things
Like. Bruh. I'm actually really excited about it. >///> I didn't have any direction really until I sat down and started planning things out the other day, an
Oof.
Hey, guys. So. First, I should apologize for pretty much disappearing on you...I have been consumed by the Inquisition for the past two and a half months. Also I'm really lazy, and the longer I'm away from something, the harder it gets to come back.
Anyway, since the new app makes it pretty simple to post shite like this, I thought I might as well...in the hopes of making up for my absence somehow? >_>
School starts up tomorrow. -3- Five classes. German IV, Advanced Poetry, Topics in Creative Writing, Shakespeare, and part one of my Thesis program! I'm actually pretty excited about most of that. ^^ My schedule's kind of wonky, but in a way
